News from Stoney Bridge
As you will be aware Stoney Bridge has undergone several changes during the past twelve months, resulting in a more streamlined base of operations as we move into 2010.
All seven of Stoney Bridge's stallions were based at our Matamata property for the 2009 breeding season and this arrangement proved very satisfactory for our clients. Therefore our stallion roster will remain based in Matamata under the care of our long-time stud manager Tony Mudgway.
Our Karaka farms were sold towards the end of 2009, although the administration and sales teams will remain based in the Karaka area. Due to that sale, all sales preparation and mare agistment will now also be done by the Matamata team.
The company previously known as Twin Pines is now Waikato Farms Limited, trading as Stoney Bridge. This change in name will make no difference to the high level of service you can expect, although you will notice different account details on your monthly invoices.
Results during the closing months of 2009 and the beginning of 2010 proved that exciting times lie ahead for our stallions. Ekraar was represented by his first Group 1 winner worldwide when Ekstreme triumphed in the Captain Cook Stakes in early December, while just a week earlier Eileen Dubh became a first Group 1 winner in the southern hemisphere for Storm Creek. Mr. Nancho welcomed his first winner in January, while St Reims has had placed representatives at the trials from a small number of runners to date.
The team are looking forward to a bright future with Waikato Farms Ltd, and we look forward to our continuing relationship with you.
